Those Who Stick in Sticky Situations

Friends.
In the recipe of our life, they are like nata de coco in our fruit salad, sprinkles in our cupcake and pinipig in our halo-halo. They are the added spices who can transform even the most boring hour into a fun, more exciting and unforgettable experience!
For my age, I had a fair share of these added spices and a whole different bunch of them. Let me categorize them into three according to how I stick to them or vice versa: The Paste (minsan dikit, minsan hindi), The Elmer's glue (madikit) and The Shoe glue (petmalu sa dikit).
The Paste. Sila yung mga temporary. I also call them seasonal. From elementary up to now I still have these kinds of friends who are somehow a good company but you cannot determine if they will always be there for you. They will make you feel special for a minute but for the next moment, they are gone (parang sa love lang, awtsu😣). They cannot be with you for a long time because you may not be enough. They will find another to laugh with, if your jokes are not that funny anymore or your topics in chikahan is on trend no more. Moreover, if you have opposite opinions and misunderstandings with these kind of friends, expect the end. I'm telling you. I also encountered fights with these kind of lot and yes, after those crying moments and the counter attacks of harsh words it will be over. Goodbye and good riddance! They are not that sticky in the first place. In short, there is no strong bond with you and these paste friends.
The Elmer's glue. Sila yung madikit pero madikit nga ba? If you're a student, you are certainly familiar with an Elmer's glue. Especially if you're always bombarded with projects like scrapbooks and portfolios. This kind of glue is indeed sticky right? Talagang maaasahan. I had friends of these kind when I was in highschool. We went through a lot and collected many memories.  Years of friendship made us strong. Even there are a lot of problems nakakaya paring dumakit through thick and thin. And we stayed true in our friendship promises. But sh*t happens so eventually, after many times of standing up for them, especially if you left them open,  EG friends will somehow cover themselves from you because they are afraid to give more. (Ewan ko sa inyo basta everytime I use this glue after a while may mag da dry-up na glue sa takip kaya wala ng lalabas unless kuhanin mo 😂.) I'm telling you, your relationship with them will eventually dry up! And even when you tried to uncover that dryness for so many times they will still manage to repeat to cover themselves again. Up to the point wherein, you just gave up. And they gave up on you also. And you know what? It was found out that not all Elmer's glue are the same! There are those who are made in China. Fake. Akala mo madikit sa una pero parang tubig lang pla!
And now we have the Shoe glue friends. Sila yung petmalu sa friendship stickiness. At sila yung pinakalate mo nang nakasama but you wish for a lifetime friendship. They are also those unexpected ones. From the start, you did not have any plans of getting close to these guys but bam! Something happened and you are friends. Your opinions may differ, but they will still manage to find a good reason for you to have a decent conversation amidst all the negative auras and then you all explode from laughter because of a joke ( a corny and waley one) or a stinky fart that came out of nowhere. Even with glancing you guys will know if someone is being annoying and if something is funny. You would junk each other by saying mean things but that's just your way to console one another and it actually felt good when you are being honest. You  may fight and argue but it all just pass and for the next second, you'll just joke it away and everything will be okay. (I called them shoe glue friends not because mukha silang paa (peace), they are actually the most pretty inside and out.) These gals are like family. They mend your broken day and transform it to a complete one! Super heroes you are super glue friends!
(To my SG, our friendship might dry up from time to time but you will find a way to giggle and wiggle it up. You know my flaws. You accept me for who I am. And so do I. We all have our own crushes and it's our favorite hobby to tease each other when our crush is at the area. We have one thing in common that makes our bond stronger and that's our love for FOOD. Do you even remember a time when we fight over food? Yes! Of course because we always do! Ang dadamot kasi pero parehas namang matakaw.)
That's it my paste, EG and shoe glue. My past experiences in my paste and EG friends whether it's good or bad will remain in me because I learned many things from them and they led me into my shoe glue friends. Even if someday we will have to part ways, these people will still be in my heart because they already made their mark here (brain) and here (heart). 💖
Love you Mama Pangs, Daddy Kimmy and Kabit Biyaya!

Twinkle No More

Falling stars are beautiful to watch. A living proof that something so beautiful can be something so sad as well.
The fire or the light that surrounds that heavenly object as it falls create a sight that is breathtaking but that pretty object, that falling star which once used to be twinkling in the vast universe will eventually end up as ashes and into dust.
A good that is actually bad. It might indicate an omen that is either negative or positive. So to the falling star that I've seen a while ago, I cannot make myself wish for something the moment I saw you but let me just ask, what are you trying to tell me?

New File in the Closet

And yet, another file will be included in my closet.

55th National Rizal Youth Institute, you have given me the experience of a leader that I can never forget. I encountered so many personalities with different attitude and aura. I learned to become more patient. And more importantly, you taught me how to be a much more effective leader and a young patriot of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

Within the 6 days I spent in Baguio, I gained and met new friends. People who are like me, who wants and aims for the betterment of our country. I will forever treasure our memories there together. Especially the lessons a mentor taught me there. She is Ma'am Glaiza. And she told me to believe in myself. And that even no-one believes in me, I should listen to my inner self because I am the only one who knows my whole being. My intentions and my will.

And if one day, I'll be given the chance to be sent to baguio again to be a coordinator, even with the thoughts of sleeping at 1 AM and waking up at 4 AM, working non-stop whole day, dealing with unpredictable behavior of different delegates, I will go without hesitation.

The World in My Eyes

The world in my eyes is different than how you perceive it.

We all have our own eyeglasses; these are made by our divine Optician. He lets us see what he wants us to see. As we grow, things became different. Our glasses, from time to time became tinted. Tinted by memories. Of pain, anger, happiness and success.

Before the world tell you how it view me, Let me tell you what I see.

Sup people! Welcome to my blog (as if someone will read this except Ma'am Gen. Hi Ma'am!) XD. This is a bombshell blog co'z I really don't have any plans in digging my hands into doing this but it's  a requirement for our subject so, might as well enjoy this. I'm still learning this thing so no judgement please. I'm trying hard ya know.
